Different Ways To Create Awe

This magazine cover predominatly uses the spot color blue to create a visual gestalt. Copying the blue from the jersey into the headline is what makes this a spot color.

This photo is black and white but uses brown as a duo tone. The choice to use brown brings this entire photo to life.

This magazine cover uses analogous color by simply using different shades of orange in a gradient to compliment each other.

By emphasizing orange and blue, this magazine cover uses the concept of complementary colors to create a impressive effect.

This cover emphasizes red, yellow and black in order to create a tridiac harmony.

Analogous color is the use of more than one color that is found side by side on the color wheel, not the use of different tones of one color.
