Sea World has a killer logo

20 Oct

The best logos are ones that incorporate the visual with the verbal, and Sea World did just that with its logo. Killer whales are a main attraction at Sea World so the logo appropriated the likeness of a whale in its logo. The “o” in World is represented by a whale diving into water. The drawing is simple, and only black and white colors are needed for the logo. This gives the logo a clean look that is immediately noticeable and gets its message across. The whale and wave also follow the isomorphic correspondence rule of Gestalt principles, as most people will interpret the wave as water and recognize the whale. Overall, Sea World really made a killer logo by tying in its visual image with the verbal message.
